Queries using Parameters in Automation Designer

I have some queries that I intend to have run on a schedule that takes parameters (like date ranges for example) from a user.  Is there a way that this can be done?  

I have several queries that will be running on this schedule and only a few will use parameters.  Is there a way to specify which queries will need parameter input and how would it get the input from the user?

EDIT:  The queries will use date ranges that it receives from the user, but there is no formula as to what the date range will be.  So I need it to be able to take user input in some kind of way.
